Traditional Christmas Markets in Bristol
With a mulled wine in one hand and your Christmas list in the other there's surely no better way to get your Christmas shopping done that with a visit to a traditional Christmas market.
This year Bristol has a whole host of Christmas markets to choose from so, wrap up warm and enjoy the sights and sound of the market.
Bristol Christmas Market
This year, the Bristol Christmas Market will be better than ever with the exciting new addition of the Christmas Express kids' train ride. The popular escape room and The Candy Factory will all return and be located on Merchant Street. With 35 stalls, including familiar favourites and exciting new additions for 2024, there will be plenty to explore. The food offerings will feature customer favourites such as Yorkshire Pudding Wraps, Churros, and Bam Bam Vegan.
Entertainment throughout the trading period will include singers, bands, and DJs creating the perfect Christmas atmosphere. Children will enjoy bubble-blowing fairies, balloon artists, and of course Santa will make a few special visits in December. This year, Ski Gondolas can be hired for drinks packages, with new and exciting drinks available in the Jäger barn bar.

St Nick's Market
Located in a Grade I listed building, St. Nick’s Market mixes history with festive cheer. An Indoor Market is home to over 60 independent retailers that sell a mixture of gifts, original fashion and hand-crafted accessories. With three very unique areas of the market, why not make a day of it and really soak up the Christmas spirit?
The Covered Market is home to a variety of self-contained businesses including books, records and gifts whilst The Exchange Hall houses an eclectic array of stalls from jewellery to hot sauce. You're sure to find the perfect gifts for your loved ones this Christmas at St Nicks. Plus no visit to Bristol's most historic market would be complete without visiting the Glass Arcade eateries for delicious food and drink.

Finzels Reach Market
Finzels Reach Market is a twice-weekly market that will be bringing a festive spin to its Friday offerings as this December, Finzels Reach Market invites you to join them for Finzels Festive Fridays.
Each Friday in December (2nd, 9th and 16th) between 11am and 2pm; Finzels Reach Market will be inviting some very special producers and traders to help get you in the festive mood. Expect comforting street food to keep you well-fed if you’re doing some Christmas shopping nearby and local produce to take home as Christmas gifts.
Just some of the produce on offer will include homemade kimchi, curry pastes and apple juice from Redcatch Community Kitchen, mulled mince pie gin from Bristol Dry Gin and beer from Lost and Grounded, olives and olive oil from Shorrk, organic chocolates and hot chocolate from Harth Chocolate, chilli sauces from Somerset Chilli Garden and British cheese from Two Belly. Plus, don’t forget your weekly bread and mince pies from The Orchard Bakery and on Friday 16th December, follow the unmistakable nutty smell and you’ll be rewarded with the ultimate winter comfort food – hot chestnuts!

Bath Christmas Market
Set against Bath’s historic buildings Bath Christmas Market is a must-see. From Thursday 28th November to Sunday 15th December 2024, the picturesque streets of Bath are transformed into a magical, festive experience with Bath Christmas Market.

Christmas Fair: Open Art Studios & Makers Market
Estate of the Arts is thrilled to announce their one and only event of 2024, returning with an even bigger and bolder celebration! Market traders will be offering their unique creations, while resident artists will showcase their full range of talents across various mediums, making it an unforgettable way to spend a winter's day. With entertainment, hot food, festive shopping, and art studios to explore throughout the site, it's a perfect Christmas day out. Over 30 stalls and studios will be open each day, featuring Bristol and South West creatives. There will be a wide array of handmade or carefully sourced goods for those perfect Christmas gifts including: Ceramics; Artwork; Fashion; Homewares; Woodwork and so much more! Additionally, there will be live entertainment from Bristol-based musicians and performers.
