1) Dine elegantly at KIBOU Clifton

The contemporary Japanese restaurant KIBOU Clifton is a class act and an excellent option for a romantic date. Inspired by the streets of Tokyo, KIBOU is a work of art in of itself with its Japanese acers, block prints, exotic geisha murals and neon signs. What about the food? For an intimate date, we recommend sharing a variety of dishes such as their handmade gyozas, variety of ramens, crisp tempura, delicious katsu curry and of course; the sushi-forward Volcano Roll. Yum!

2) Sip some Cocktails at Playground Coffee

If cocktails are on the cards then Playground Coffee could be your best option in Bristol. A key winning feature of the venue is its vast collection of games (hence the Playground name) so grab a seat (or the swing by the door!) and get gaming! Looking for a drink recommendation? Opt for the Side Car, Haunted By Gold or for those looking for a long night; the Espresso Martini.

3) Catch the Sunset at Perrett's Park

A panoramic view of a suburban area at sunset. The sky is painted with hues of orange, pink, and purple as the sun sets behind rolling hills. Houses and buildings densely populate the foreground, while distant hills and bare trees frame the horizon.

Few things are as romantic as a sweeping sunset so if weather permits then we absolutely recommend catching the sunset from the top of Perretts Park in Totterdown. Reachable by a 20-minute walk from central Bristol, the park offers expansive views across Bristol including landmarks like Bedminster, Victoria Park, Cabot Tower, The Wills Memorial Building and the Bristol Suspension Bridge.

4) Head to THEKLA for their Valentines Ball with Queer House Party

After a wild party with your beloved? Let THEKLA (yep the boat that is also a club by the Harbourside!) take the reins with their Valentines Ball. Who's performing? The iconic Queer House Party is 'a DJ collective, community platform and award-winning LGBTIQ+ party' that brings in talent locally from across the UK and beyond. The party will include crew, dancers, hosts, drinks, big dance floor moves and much more. Don't forget to venture over to Room 3 which will be hosting drag host Sneeze with Bendy Wendy as DJ.

5) Paint & Date at Wiper and True Taproom - Valentine's Day Special!

A group of people are participating in a painting class. They are seated side by side at a table, each working on their own painting of a sunset over a snowy landscape. The scene includes bare trees and a winding path with paint palettes and brushes on the table.

Paint and Date is certainly a calmer activity, but no lesser because of it! Organised by Lovely Brush and taking place at Wiper and True Taproom in Bristol, budding creatives (it's not always about being great!) will be painting the most Bristol of scenes; a hot air balloon landscape. No art experience is needed, just bring ample enthusiasm and your date! Refreshments are available from the taproom so do take advantage!
