Led by renowned duo Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine and performing at Southwark Playhouse, Into The Woods is a timeless musical performed by the National Youth Music Theatre...

Directed by Jake Smith @JakeeDaniel, this Tony Award-winning modern classic brings a fresh perspective to the beloved intertwining tales of our most loved fairy-tale characters. Rapunzel? The Wolf? Cinderella? The Witch? Jack and the Bean Stalk? Little Red Riding Hood? All here and more! With a central plot revolving around a young couple's inability to conceive, the story turns mischievously adventurous as the woods prove to be trickier to navigate than anticipated…

Viewed by Culture Calling on the 9th of August, this limited series of performances (from 9th to the 11th of August) by the National Youth Music Theatre (NYMT) captivated audiences with its clever costume design (including the troublesome cow Milky White, constructed from little more than a T-shirt), enchanting tree-house-inspired set design, and a youthful cast beaming both passion and proficiency. It's all great fun.

Perfect for the whole family, make sure you book tickets for Into The Woods the next time you see it showing!
