The beloved Paddington Bear is stopping to eat a marmalade sandwich at 23 locations around the UK, with statues to commemorate the occasion - including one in Marble Arch’s charming Connaught Village

A statue of Paddington Bear has been unveiled on a bench by 28 Connaught Street, just a stone’s throw from Paddington Station, where the beloved Peruvian bear met the Browns.
The statue was unveiled on 8 October by Marble Arch London BID, in partnership with the Church Commissioners for England, and it has already become a local attraction with visits by children from the nearby Connaught House School, plus plenty of passers-by pausing for selfies! Kay Buxton, Chief Executive of Marble Arch London BID, said: “We hope that people from across London and beyond come to visit the statue, sit with Paddington and explore the many shops, cafes and attractions Connaught Village and the wider Marble Arch area have to offer.”
It’s all to celebrate the release of the bear’s latest cinematic outing, Paddington in Peru, which hits cinemas in the UK and Ireland on 8th November. If you’re around the Marble Arch area, stop by!
