New events announced including the innovative exhibition from Cuban artist Belkis Ayón: Sikán Illuminations.

Belkis Ayón: Sikán Illuminations: 2 November - 9 February (Free)

Explore Cuban artist Belkis Ayón’s brief but intense artistic career. Witness her extraordinary use of the printmaking process collography and delve into her richly detailed and enigmatic artworks which conjure up a mythological Afro-Cuban world. Sikán Illuminations is the first major survey exhibition of Ayón’s work in a UK institution and consists of 50 works belonging to the Belkis Ayón Estate based in Havana.

Tender Grounds: Platform Graduate Award: 2 November 2024 - 1 December 2024

Tender Grounds explores the delicate and fragile qualities that connect four artists’ works, both in their materiality and their emotional undertones. This group exhibition unpicks connections between the physical and the emotional, referencing notions of youthfulness.

Back Towards Oneness: 5 December - 9 March 

Artist Farwa Moledina, in collaboration with community group Date Palm Tree, has created a series of collective works using recycled materials inspired by personal family connections and celebrating Ummah – the Islamic concept of a community that transcends borders, boundaries, and governments.
