Dara Ó Briain, Sindhu Vee and more! The Pleasance announce their biggest ever London comedy season!

Kickstarting 2025, the Pleasance Theatre Trust will present a record-breaking new comedy season at their Islington home, with over 70 unmissable work-in-progress comedy shows including brand new material from Dara Ó Briain, Sindhu Vee and Chloe Petts, plus loads more. Comedy fans will be flocking to the Pleasance this Spring, as they break their own record, hosting more acts than ever before in the eleventh year of their annual work-in-progress season.

Dara Ó Briain will launch the season with warm-ups for his upcoming global tour, Re:Creation (16th January), described by the Guardian as a ‘masterclass in intelligent, no-frills stand-up’. Straight from the success of her US tour, global talent Sindhu Vee will flex her signature sharp wit as she presents her new material on family life (8th February). As seen on Live at the Apollo, Mock the Week and 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, Perrier Award nominee Glenn Moore will offer London audiences a never-before-seen hour of material (20th February).

Fresh from another smash hit Edinburgh run, Chloe Petts develops her hilariously personal routines surrounding sex and relationships in her newest show (25th -26th February). The Guardian’s ‘breakout comedy act of 2023’ Jazz Emu returns to the Pleasance with Perfect Work (24th -26th April), providing an audiovisual hour of new musings and odes. Internet sensation Josh Berry will deconstruct the masculine experience in warm up shows for his new tour, Best Man (29th - 30th January), tackling everything from progressive stag dos to gay panic.

Pierre Novellie’s latest solo comedy hour at the Pleasance (12th February) comes hot off his support on Frank Skinner’s West End run and three Chortle Award nominations. Irish comedian de jour Alison Spittle will offer her unique take on misogyny and M&Ms at the Pleasance with Fat Bitch (6th March). As seen on Britain’s Got Talent and Have I Got News for You award-winning comedian Nabil Abdulrashid will bring his ‘sardonic intelligence and sharp eye for the absurdities of racial discourse’ (The Guardian) to London (31st January).

The 2025 Comedy Season also features performances from more award-winning comedians, including Joe Kent-Walters, Alana Jackson, Rohan Sharma, Jin Hao Li, Lorna Rose Treen, Rosalie Minnitt, Andrew Doherty, Lindsey Santoro and Katie Norris.  The phenomenal line up will also highlight some of the UK’s rapidly rising comedy stars, including Chortle Student Comedy Award finalist Sharon Wanjohi, Shalaka Kurup, Kyrah Gray’s and Sam Williams.

With plenty more seasoned and up-and-coming comedians set to delight London audiences, it’s a comedy season not to be missed this 2025. Tickets are available from just £5!
