Kendal Classics is the regions newly-relaunched season of superb orchestral concerts, featuring some of the UK’s top orchestras.
Events include:
Beethoven’s Third Piano Concerto with one of the stars of The Last Night of the Proms, pianist Stephen Hough (26 Sept)
Christmas by Candlelight - an atmospheric concert including music by Bach and Vivaldi at Kendal Parish Church (30 Nov)
A sumptuous Viennese-style New Year’s Concert full of Waltzes, Polkas and operatic show-stoppers (4 Jan)
An evening of music by Vaughan Williams including ‘The Lark Ascending’ (22 Feb)
Beethoven’s iconic Symphony No.5 with those famous da-da-da-daaa’s (24 May)
Concerts start at 7.30pm but there are two 3.00pm matinees too for those who prefer an afternoon show.
