The Fantastic Life of Minnie Rubinski

Extraordinary, diverse live performance & events at coming up at JW3.

JW3 is looking forward to presenting its most artistic, creative, diverse and exciting live performance programme from October through to the end of 2024, spanning the arts spectrum with theatre, literature, musicals, talks, plays, immersive art exhibitions, classical music, klezmer music, jazz & rock music, comedy, dance, puppetry, film and pantomime! Just some of the outstanding highlights include:

Monday 14 October at 7.30pm: Film UK Premiere: The Ancient Law silent movie live scored screening performed by composers Alicia Svigals, the world’s leading klezmer violinist and the pianist Donald Sosin, one of the world’s foremost silent film accompanists.

Sunday 12 November at 3.30pm: Celebration: Tea with Jack celebrating Jack Morris Rosenthal CBE – 20th anniversary of his death with special guests, including Maureen Lipman and Amy Rosenthal.

Sunday 17 November – Thursday 28 November: Immersive Art Exhibition:  The Fantastic Life of Minnie Rubinski. The audience are invited to piece together Minnie’s remarkable life as they enter through a giant brain into Minnie’s world of fragmented thoughts and memories from childhood to the present day. 

Tuesday 29 October at 7.30pm: Dance: Contemporary Dance Imagining Otherwise: An immersive performance combining fast paced choreography with live spoken text.

Sunday 13October at 7pm: Literary: Author André Aciman in conversation.

Sunday 3 November at 7.30pm: Musical: Celebrating Marvin Hamlisch, A cast of five West End performers will be performing Hamlisch’s Oscar winning The Way We Were, James Bond theme Nobody Does It Better; songs from They’re Playing Our Song and A Chorus Line. 

Thursday 10 October & Tuesday 5 November at 7.30pm: Classical Music Series

Wednesday 30 October – Friday 1 November: Puppet Theatre: Kinder. Escaping on a Kindertransport train, one small Czech-Jewish girl embarks on a mighty adventure, with puppetry and cinematic shadow play.

10 November Family Theatre: Meet at the Ark at Eight: The beautiful, heartwarming story of two penguins trying to smuggle their friend onto Noah's Arc.

Tuesday 1 October 7.30pm Choral: Voices That Wander: Sephardi Voices UK + special guests in an evening of beautiful choral music with traditional and new songs.

Thursday 14 November 7.30pm: Live Rock & Jazz: Jeremy Sassoon’s (Alternative) Mojo.

Sunday 8 December & Sunday 5 January: Pantomime: Goldie Frocks and the Bear Mitzvah! a brand-new tradition for London’s vibrant Jewish community and everyone in NW3.

Monday 7 October Talks: One Year On - David Hirsh, Anthony Julius, and Dr Linda Maisels in conversation with Baroness Julia Neuberger DBE.
