
New season of stunning shows for 2025 - including a must-see new production of Grease The Musical!
A spectacular new season of shows will jive into Blackpool Grand Theatre for 2025. A vivacious new version of the timeless classic Grease The Musical is just one of a whole host of fabulous feelgood shows that will have you Hopelessly Devoted to live theatre…This exciting new production perfectly captures the idealism of the 1950s and its rock ‘n’ roll rebellion dreams, with plenty of iconic songs and high-energy dance routines along the way.
More West End and Broadway big hits will be joining the roll call at The Grand this season including Moira Buffini’s unforgettable and fiercely funny, fly-on-the-wall comedy Handbagged. A beautiful new adaptation of Louisa May Alcott’s classic tale of Little Women; Stephen Daldry’s award-winning National Theatre production of An Inspector Calls; Willy Russell’s iconic Shirley Valentine; James Graham’s acclaimed production of Alan Bleasdale’s Boys From The Blackstuff; the welcome return of the smash-hit rock ‘n’ roll spec-tacle Buddy - The Buddy Holly Story and, just announced, the thrilling stage production of Stephen King’s The Shawshank Redemption, set to hold everyone captive this September.
There will be plenty of music this season including, Elkie Brooks; pop icon Matt Goss and just announced, the one and only Leo Sayer!
There will be hot comedy nights with TV favourite Josh Widdicombe; Julian Clary, Russell Kane, Harry Hill and the return of The Lancashire Hotpots with their Definitely Gravy tour.
Dance is also still firmly in the spotlight this season with Rosie Kay who presents her new work, A Thing Of Beauty; London City Ballet dazzle with a vibrant showcase and dance legends Anton Du Beke and Craig Revel Horwood each bringing fab-u-lous evenings of song, dance and laughter.
There’s a whole lot of family fun too! With the brilliantly heart-warming and five-star hit Pig Heart Boy; the Natural History Museum’s Dinosaur’s Live; the wonderfully new chuckle-out-loud tale of The Koala Who Could and the RSC’s First Encounters production of William Shakespeare’s The Tempest.
And, of course, any new season at The Grand wouldn’t be complete without Blackpool’s number one magical family pantomime Beauty and The Beast starring everyone’s favourite comic and Britain’s Got Talent Finalist Steve Royle as Louis La Plonk!
