UK’s National Orchestras come together for a summer of music across the UK.
The UK’s symphony orchestras including the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, London Symphony Orchestra, London Philharmonic Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the Philharmonia Orchestra, the Hallé, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, Royal Scottish National Orchestra and Ulster Orchestra will bring music to every corner of the UK this summer.
Alongside the world-famous BBC Proms which begin on 19 July the summer highlights include outdoor performances, free events and special projects in schools, in the streets and in city centre public spaces to celebrate the diversity, popularity and range of orchestral music.
- Thursday 27 June - London Philharmonic Orchestra: Debut Sounds: Sound in Motion.
- Friday 28 June - Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, All Things Orchestral - Hyde Park.
- Friday 5 July - Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra: For You Blue: Celebrating The Beatles Greatest Hits 1967-1970 with Beatles tribute band The Bootleg Beatles at M&S Bank Arena, Liverpool.
- Saturday 13 July - London Symphony Orchestra: BMW Classics - Trafalgar Square.
- Friday 19 July – Saturday 14 September - BBC Proms.
- Friday 26 July - Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra Proms in the Park - Meyrick Park, Bournemouth.
- Saturday 27 July - The Hallé: Disco Dynamite - The Bridgewater Hall Manchester.
- Tuesday 30/Wednesday 31 July - Philharmonia Orchestra / Garsington Community Opera: A Trip to the Moon.
- Saturday 3 August - Royal Scottish National Orchestra: La Pasión Según San Marcos - Usher Hall.
- Monday 26 – Saturday 31 August - City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra: CBSO in the City including The Bullring, New Street Station, West Midlands Metro and West Bromwich Football Stadium.
- Sunday 1 September - Ulster Orchestra: On Your Doorstep: Symphonic September.
The events take place alongside a national campaign to celebrate the power and value of classical music and the UK’s orchestras, launched by the Association of British Orchestras and its 200 member organisations and campaign partners in May 2024.
