The Best Bonfire Nights and Fireworks Displays in Greater Manchester
Every 5th November we venture into the cold, dark night to watch brilliant fireworks light up the sky, and every year they get bigger and better - here’s what’s happening in and around Manchester

There are some fantastic Bonfire Night events happening in and around Manchester - particularly some great community-focused events, with some special sports clubs going all out for the locals yet again this year. What’s more, many of the events we found cater to those more sensitive to noise, providing more sparkle than bang. You’re sure to find an event that suits you!
The Big Bang Bonfire at Oldham Edge - Tuesday 6th November
from 6pm - Bredbury St Marks Cricket Club, Hillside Road, Woodley, SK6 1HS
Head to Bredbury St Marks Cricket Club in Woodley for a night of Fireworks & Family Fun - a fun-filled evening out for the whole family to enjoy. There’ll be a fantastic fireworks display beginning at 8pm (with a live DJ set playing before and after), outdoor fairground rides and an indoor activity zone for kids. For the grown-ups you’ll find a large outdoor bar and plenty of warming food from street vendors.
Price: £8.50 for adults, £5 for children (age 3 - 16), £27 for a Family of 4, £32 for a Family of 5 (plus booking fee)
Woodford Community Centre Bonfire & Fireworks Display - Tuesday 5th November
6pm-9pm - Woodford War Memorial Community Centre, Cheshire, SK7 1PS
The Woodford Community Centre Bonfire & Fireworks Display is a brilliant family night out with a separate children’s firework display, a lovely bonfire, magnificent main firework show, fairground rides, hot food, gluwein and snacks.
Gates open at 6pm, and the bonfire will be lit at 6.30pm. The children’s firework display begins at 7pm, and the main display will start at 8pm, will everything wrapping up by 9pm.
Price: £10 for adults, £5 for children, Family Ticket (2 adults, 2 children) for £30
Radcliffe Cricket Club Fireworks Display - Saturday 26th October
from 6pm - Unsworth Street, Radcliffe, Manchester, M26 3RF
This year, Radcliffe Cricket Club are putting on a Marvel-themed Firework Display! Again this year they’ve partnered with BrightSparks fireworks, who are renowned for their award-winning displays. Expect an array of delectable food stalls, refreshing gin, and delightful toys. The fun continues with thrilling rides and carnival games by Silcocks Fun Fairs for all ages. Sip your favorite drinks at the fully licensed bar, all while an expertly choreographed fireworks show dazzles to carefully curated music. An interactive host will keep the energy high, and the grand finale promises an awe-inspiring display.
Gates open at 6pm, and the fireworks kick off around 8pm at Radcliffe Cricket Club (enter via Unsworth Street). Limited tickets available, so book now to avoid disappoinment!
Bowdon Bonfire Night - Friday 1st November
6pm-10pm - Bowdon Cricket, Hockey and Squash Club, South Downs Road, Altrincham WA14 3DT
Bowdon Cricket Club puts on a hell of a show every year (in fact, this year will be the 56th year running!) at the Bowdon Bonfire. Like lat year, there’ll be not one, not two, but three firework displays! At 7pm there will be a children’s display (where things aren’t quite so loud), followed by a second display at 8pm and the grand finale at 8.45.
As well as the bonfire (which will be lit at 7.20pm), there will be a children’s fun fair, a BBQ and licensed bars providing drinks with stalls for toffee apples and sweets as well.
Price: £15 for adults, £8 for children, Family Ticket (2 adults, 2 children) £40 (plus £1.12 booking fee)
Fireworks at Cockfields Farm - 2nd & 3rd November
5pm-8pm - Cokfields Farm Park, Lees New road, Oldham, Ashton-under-Lyne 0L6 8AR
Fireworks at Cockfields Farm is the annual child and animal-friendly fireworks event at Cockfields Farm Park. In their 'low bang' fireworks and festivities. The fireworks display is specially designed so as to not disturb the children or the animals, and will be choreographed to everyone's favourite Disney tunes (with singing along most welcome!).
As well as the firework display, your ticket prince includes a bonfire, mini disco, LED Robot light shows, a carousel ride plus opportunities to hand feed the large barn animals and play with the smaller animals in the ‘cuddle corner’!
Price: £12.95 per person, £2 for babies under one
Bramhall Firework & Music Festival at Stockport Rugby Club - Friday 1st November
5pm-10.30pm - The Memorial Ground, Headlands Rd, Bramhall, Stockport SK7 3AN
Get ready for a sizzling night of sparks and entertainment at the Bramhall Firework & Music Festival, hosted by Stockport Rugby Club and sponsored by ABC Trailers! The big event boasts live acts, a thrilling fun fair, mesmerizing fireworks, and a mouthwatering array of food stalls.
This year the children's display will be even longer than before, and the main event will be set to music with the theme “The Best of British”. On the Main Stage there will be a host of live music acts including the acoustic soul singer Daisy Kate, PLUS (returning from 2022) the ukelele boyband UKE Box and the amazing Ignite Fire Dancers!

Cavendish Community Primary School - Friday 1st November
5pm-7pm - Cavendish Rd, West Didsbury, Manchester M20 1JG
Cavendish Community Primary School is bringing in a little heat with their 17th Cavendish Bonfire & Fireworks event on Friday 1st November 2024. The event begins at 5pm with at bonfire at 5.30pm and fireworks due to be set off at 6.30pm - as well as all this, there’ll be hot food and drinks, bakes and cakes plus sweets from the Tuck Shop, music and festival glitter!
Price: £7 for adults, £5 for children (free for children under 2)
