Manchester Football Museum

This glass fronted modern museum is based in the Urbis building in Manchester city centre and custodian to the Football Heritage Collection. It holds over 40,000 items including the FIFA collection, FA collection and Football League collection.  2500 of these items are on display including artwork, toys, clothing, photos, games and memorabilia.   You’ll get a chance to see the world’s first international football shirt from 1872, the oldest surviving FA Cup trophy and Marcus Rashford’s bedsheet banner.

You can watch hours of filmed interviews with footballing greats from across the decades and there are guided museum tours daily which is included in the price of admission. A varied events’ schedule changes throughout the year which you can keep an eye on here.

The museum is open daily from 10-5pm and the great news is the museum is free if you live in Manchester. For everyone else, it’s best to book online for the cheapest prices.
