Step into Christmas via the streets of Manchester at the Manchester Christmas Parade 2024!
Sunday 8th December - 1pm | starts and ends at Manchester Cathedral
Step into Christmas via the streets of Manchester at the Manchester Christmas Parade 2024! This years parade, which begins and ends at Manchester Cathedral, will see over 400 participants take an extended route through key city streets such as Victoria Street, Deansgate, John Dalton Street and Market Street.
You can expect a variety of captivating performances, from the dazzling Aurora Borealis Stilt Walkers to the quirky Ski Sunday Segway Skiers (in retro ski gear, of course). Highlights include the spectacular Elf Express, a festive train packed with cheerful elves, and the return of the enchanting Snow Queen, who will be gliding through the streets in her dazzling snow globe.
Families will particularly enjoy the giant (and playful) polar bear, the mistletoe dancing mice, and airborne puppetry by the Cloud Travellers, Nimbus and Cumulus, who add a magical touch with illuminated clouds casting "raindrops." Also putting in an appearance to lead the celebrations is the main man himself, Santa Claus - will he be singing and dancing along with the Global Grooves Nutcracker Bloco Band? You'll have to head over yourself to find out!
The Manchester Christmas Parade has, once again, been put together by the fantastic team at Walk the Plank, in partnership with the Manchester Business Improvement District - so we know it'll be a joy to attend!
