Solve mysteries and get a good fright on the haunted Ghost Train, a family-friendly but spooky ride through East Lancashire for the Halloween season.
Here’s a special spooky experience for the family. East Lancashire Railway is once again inviting us all to embark on a terrifying journey on their vintage Ghost Train.
According to the locals, the scarecrows have left their post and are now terrorising staff and passengers along the trainline.
Join the Monster Squad as you seek to unravel these unsolved mysteries, and make unlikely unions with Zombie Bob and his petrifying pals Veronica the Witch and Count Brian the Vampire to help stamp out the nuisance.
Most importantly, fancy dress is encouraged, so as to blend in with the creeps, critters and crawlies that haunt the ghost train. Submit pictures of your fancy dress to #ELRHalloweenGhostTrains on social media if you want to be considered for the role of Pumpkin Queen or King (winners also get four tickets to Santa Specials later in the year).
But it’s not just the train where you’ll find spooky treats. Included is a haunted house walkthrough over a pumpkin-themed footbridge at Bury (be warned, there will be plenty jumpscares), and kids get goody bags full of tricks and treats. Getting you in the spirit of things before the 60-minute journey into unknown realms.
Running from the 24th to the 31st, there is of course limited availability so book in advance to avoid disappointment. Adult tickets sway from £18 to £25, and kids from £14.50 to £17.50. get your costumes ready for one of the best family Halloween events of the year!
