Founded in 1972 by the indomitable Sylvia Young OBE, the school began with humble part-time classes in East London before blossoming into a full-time institution on Drury Lane in 1981. Its relentless pursuit of excellence soon necessitated a move to a former 1880s church school in Marylebone.
In 2010, the school made yet another move, this time to its current iconic home in Nutford Place, Westminster—a stunning conversion of a 19th-century church.
