Four performers in elaborate costumes, including feathers and sequins, stand on a heart-shaped stage with ornate decorations. The stage is adorned with red drapes and warm lighting, creating a vibrant and lively atmosphere reminiscent of a theatrical or cabaret performance.
The Picadilly Theatre

Designed by the esteemed Bertie Crewe and Edward A. Stone, this Grade II listed landmark boasts an Art Deco marvel characterised by dramatic green and silver interiors.

The theatre’s debut with the musical ‘Blue Eyes’, starring Evelyn Laye, marked its entrance into London’s scene. Yet, its pioneering spirit led it to transform briefly into a cinema, showcasing England’s first ‘talkie’ film, and later into ‘The London Casino’, a glitzy cabaret spot known for its extravagant performances.

Surviving the ravages of World War II, including a direct hit by a German bomb in 1944, the Piccadilly Theatre emerged resilient, restored to its former glory and continuing to attract audiences with a diverse repertoire. Under Sir Donald Albery’s stewardship in the swinging sixties, it hosted acclaimed productions such as ‘Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?’ and became a recording studio for the iconic Beatles.

Joined by the Ambassadors Theatre Group in 2000, the Piccadilly Theatre has welcomed a parade of stars, from the Spice Girls for the premiere of ‘Viva Forever’ to legendary actors like Ian McKellen and Judi Dench. Today, it captivates audiences with the Tony Award-winning ‘Moulin Rouge! The Musical’, dazzling spectators with its flamboyant sets and electrifying performances.
