What Dreams May Come

New Diorama Theatre - Sat 15 Feb, 2:30pm & 7:30pm

Throughout the centuries, composers have been influenced and inspired by Shakespeare’s work. What Dreams May Come is a new studio piece drawing on hundreds of years of music inspired by and adapted from Shakespeare’s plays and poetry to depict the final day of a man looking back at the joys and sorrows of a long life, well-lived.

Mixing puppetry with music and theatre, What Dreams May Come explores the timeless appeal of Shakespeare’s words, and the memories that we find comfort in.

Bellini: The Capulets and The Montagues

Hackney Empire - 22 Feb 2025, 7:30pm

Can first love prevail in the face of tragedy?

The Capulets and The Montagues is a tale of two households at war and of two lovers in over their heads, doomed by the conflict between their families. With its tale of loyalty and love put to the test amidst political violence, Vincenzo Bellini’s gritty re-working of Romeo & Juliet remains a fresh, vital take on a well-loved story.

Performed in the original Italian, ETO’s new production is directed by Eloise Lally, who returns to ETO after directing 2023’s ★★★★★ production of Lucrezia Borgia.
