London boasts such a diverse range of cuisine, also catering to many different dietary requirements. Thankfully, over the years, there has been the introduction of halal options to meals.

There's now entire restaurants serving a range of food from around the world that offer halal cuisine, and we've put together a list of some of the best in London. From traditional Middle Eastern cuisine to contemporary twists, burger bars to dessert shops, you'll be spoilt for choice!

Dishoom

Multiple Locations

With over 9 locations across the capital, Dishoom is one of the most accessible restaurants on our list when it comes to halal food (if you discount the breakfast menu). Guests can rest assured as well that the meat comes directly from certified halal suppliers and can find out further information by reading their halal food guide.

This, matched with the fantastic gastronomical experience that is provided will leave yourself and your guests with a smile on their face.

Dishoom combines both Iranian and Indian food together to provide a spice filled fusion menu. Set in decor that is Indian with a modern twist giving a nod to restaurants that flourished during the British India times.

We recommend tucking into the Sheekh Kebab for a delicious cut of lamb or the chicken berry britannia for a wholesome main. Best news? It's incredible food without the hefty London price tag. The only thing we will say is that walk-ins will be waiting a while, so book a table in advance if you can!

Red Iron Burgers

Three gourmet burgers are displayed with seeded buns. Each burger contains different fillings like melted cheese, jalapeños, lettuce, and meat. A pickle spear is placed on top of each bun. Background includes bottles of sauces, a drink, and blurred tableware.

Burgers, the easiest option to go for when hunger hits, not so easy when it comes to halal. Fret not, at Red Iron Burgers in Uxbridge you can expect the juiciest cuts of meat made with the freshest high quality ingredients and absolutely everything is halal.

Tuck into layers of cheese, crispy onions, jalapenos and their tasty red iron burger sauce paired with thick cut chips for the full experience. For those that are seeking an extra foodie thrill, you can even try one of their food challenges and who knows, maybe your meal could be on the house! Challenge accepted.

Their website is currently under construction, but business is open as normal and you can still check out the menu here!

The Standard Balti House

Head east to find Standard Balti house. Located in Shoreditch along the iconic Brick Lane (famous for its curry houses), this venue offers some of the finest Indian food to be found in London. It's also right in the heart of the local Bangladesh community, so the recipes are authentic, flavours have depth and portions are large- sadly it might make you ditch the idea of a takeaway permanently.

Best yet? It's whole menu is entirely halal and freshly cooked in their clay oven upon order. Tuck into the lam dhansak if you're looking for something hearty and filling.

If you're planning on heading over post brick lane vintage shopping make sure you make a reservation, the venue isn't the biggest and you don't want to be disappointed!

The search for western halal cuisine is over- The Great Chase is fully halal and is one of the few halal restaurants in London that'll dish up a prime juicy steak for you (apart from our next contender). There's also a non-alcoholic bar here that specializes in making delicious mocktails, but amongst the many, we recommend coming here for their weekend roast.

Choose between slow roasted lamb, dry roasted beef or succulent chicken breast lathered in gravy. Their dishes are created using fresh ingredients and their chefs work hard to equally mix the classic with the contemporary, offering a flavoursome twist on some of our much loved favourites.

The vibe here is cosy, welcoming, laid back and perfect for a pre-museum pick-me-up (with The Postal Museum just a 12 minute walk away).
