
Alexander Abreu and The 16-Piece Havana D’Primera Orchestra bring Salsa to London for one special performance.
The internationally acclaimed Latin GRAMMY-nominated trumpeter, vocalist, and composer Alexander Abreu is set to lead the prestigious 16-piece orchestra Havana D’Primera – Cuba’s leading salsa band – in a rare performance at Electric Brixton in London on June 26, 2025. The hugely anticipated show, which will also feature a special guest appearance from three-time Tropicana World Open Salsa Champion Yanet Fuentes, offers the opportunity for audiences to immerse themselves in the electrifying essence of Cuban salsa, delivered directly from Havana to London.
Recognized as the foremost Cuban salsa ensemble, Havana D’Primera comprises 16 distinguished musicians, many of whom have collaborated with the iconic Issac Delgado. For over two decades, the ensemble has been at the forefront of Cuban music, producing an array of critically acclaimed, best-selling albums and garnering numerous Lucas and Cuba Disco awards. Their signature sound seamlessly intertwines traditional Cuban music with contemporary influences, offering a performance that is both innovative and profoundly rooted in Cuban heritage.
