UKJAZZPLUS sessions present another powerhouse BUMPER bill of diverse artists from the prolific and thriving genre of UK jazz singer songwriters. This spirited and gutsy afternoon gig will turbocharge your festival experience.
Featuring the mesmerising and exceptionally dynamic British Congolese performer Miss Baby Sol; award-winning trailblazing British Cypriot jazz and world music veteran Martha D Lewis; and a 'one-to-watch'-newcomer of jazz blues and soul, Ellie Harris. Re-defining what it means to be a jazz singer today, these homegrown jazz singer songwriters are conveying their cultural influences and creating a relevant and contemporary space between jazz, R&B, soul, pop and indie.
First opened in 1976, our Dean Street venue is considered one of Europe’s best jazz clubs, having hosted debut shows from the likes of Gregory Porter, Diana Krall, Norah Jones, Brad Mehldau and countless others. Music legends like Amy Winehouse, Sam Smith, Van Morrison, Sting, Jamie Cullum, Charlie Watts, Jacob Collier and Nigel Kennedy have all graced the stage - making the club a part of the very heart, soul, and sound of Soho.
