Embark on an epic adventure full of Norse myths and magical beasts.
It's going to take a very special kind of boy to defeat the most dangerous of all the Frost Giants and rescue the mighty Gods. Someone cheerful and infuriating and clever. Someone just like Odd...
The cast of Odd and the Frost Giants will venture into the legendary world of Norse mythology this Christmas. As the Frost Giants threaten to plunge the world into endless winter, this spectacular production follows unlikely hero Odd on a daring quest to save the world with the help of ancient gods Odin, Loki and Thor. Combining extraordinary magic and humour, this powerful new production brings a joyful tale of mischief and hope to the stage this season.
The talented cast include Archee Aitch Wylie (Portia Coughlan, Almeida Theatre; Faun, Cardboard Citizens) as Odd, Georgia Frost (This Is Going To Hurt, BBC; Twelfth Night, Shakespeare North Playhouse) as Thor, Simon Startin (The Taming of the Shrew, Shakespeare’s Globe; Dunkirk, Warner Brothers) as Odin, Leo Wan (Chariots of Fire, Sheffield Theatres; Bridgerton, Netflix) as Loki and Lorraine Adeyfa (We All Know How This Ends, Theatre Royal Stratford East; The Duchess of Malfi, Shakespeare's Globe) as Mum and Freyja. Returning to the Unicorn will be actor and musician Sam Pay (Three Billy Goats Gruff, Unicorn Theatre; The BFG, UK Tour) as Elfred and The Frost Giant.
Artistic Director Rachel Bagshaw said, “I am delighted to be bringing this extraordinary adventure to the Unicorn this Christmas. Taking us into a magical realm of Norse mythology, the wonderful cast explore a journey of self-acceptance and ask questions about who gets to play a hero.”
This spectacular celebration of friendship, courage, and the magic of the festive season, features creative captions seamlessly integrated into the set design, enhancing accessibility for all audiences.
