For those in the know, he really needs no introduction. But I'll give him one anyway. The London-based musicians whole ethos of production is to make ‘music to make you feel feelings’. Vague enough, but in dance music, his kind of warmth, attention to melody, and often a disregard of dance's rigidity is a rare delight. His record Saw You For The First Time was a triumph for the genre, gaining huge attention outside of the house scene and influencing much within it.
Known for his chill-out style of house, where beat often takes the passenger seat to melody and rhythm, his DJ sets are by contrast a bit more electric. And you're gonna need it, cos his show at Hackney's beautiful Night Tales will be some fat all-nighter, going from 8pm til 3am.
The beauty of these all-night sets is you can choose which portion you'd like to see, whether you want to come at 8 and leave at a reasonable time, or only come for the last few hours after you've finished with pub.
