John Crace is back and this might just be the best therapy session you’ve ever had.

Guardian political sketch writer John Crace is back touring the country doing his show, What The Hell Just Happened? Calling at the The Berry Theatre, Hampshire on Friday 28th March, Chelmsford, Henley, Norwich and others with a London date at the Bloomsbury Theatre, 24 April 2025.

The last 10 years of British politics has been one long psychodrama; The Scottish referendum, David Cameron's surprise election win, Brexit, Theresa May, Boris Johnson, Liz Truss, Rishi Sunak, each prime minister worse than the last, Covid and Partygate. The UK's Politicians have rarely looked so clueless. Even with the new Labour government we are still rushing through several news cycles each day.

The ingeniously quick-witted John Crace, the Guardian’s much loved political sketch writer, has had a ringside seat at all the main events. Join him for an evening of high comedy as he tries to make sense of it all. Find out what the Queen’s last words to Liz Truss really were.

John Crace has been the Guardian's political sketch writer for the last ten years and is one of the paper's most loved columnists. He has also written about twenty books on everything from cricket, football, TV, literature, politics and – not forgetting – himself. The most recent, Depraved New World, a collection of his Guardian columns, was published in November 2023 and was a Waterstones Politics Book of the Year.

In January 2024 he was awarded an honorary doctorate by Bath Spa University in recognition of his literary satire.
