Kew Garden's transforms into a hellish field of nightmares for the season, with something spooky lurking around every corner. Take care on your moonlight wanderings if you want to make it out!
For the month of October, Kew Gardens will take on a face that's not its own. Transforming into something of a Halloween hellscape, Kew welcomes whoever dares to traverse its twilight cacotopia. It's from the same people that brought us Christmas at Kew, so they know a thing or two about proper decoration.
Come though the gates of Kew, as dusk descends into darkness, and tread carefully through spooky spaces, bracing oneself for wicked witches, disgracefully large spiders, neon cobwebs, and bothersome (yet well-meaning) bats, dark surprises that lurk around every corner. There will be sweet treats aplenty on offer, including seasonal hot chocolates and hot toddy's to get you through the ordeal.
There are three types of tour you can take depending on your skill-level. Daytime tours are aimed at the young kids, which run til 6pm so you can get the little ones to bed early. On the twilight tours, from 6 to 7:30pm, they'll be ramping up the spook-factor a notch or two. Then, the feared moonlight sessions, which run from 7:30pm onwards, will reach 11 on the scare-scale (though still suitable for all ages).
Last entry is at 8:30 and the gate shuts at 10pm, so make sure to get out of there before you face a night sleeping adjacent to the witches' cauldron for warmth. Entrances at Elizabeth Gate and Brentford Gate only.
