fabric at the British Museum

2 May 2025 British Museum

Underground superclub fabric is making strange bedfellows with the British Museum for one night only, continuing the club's engagement with London's historic chambers.

This May, two iconic London institutions—legendary nightclub fabric and the British Museum—are coming together for an extraordinary one-off event that pushes the boundaries and expectations of electronic music. Following previous immersive parties at St Paul’s Cathedral and The View from The Shard, fabric now takes over three historic spaces within the British Museum: the grand Reading Room, the classical Nereid Monument (Room 17), and the evocative China and South Asia Gallery (Room 33).

Curated to transform these architectural marvels into pulsating sonic landscapes, the event features a stellar lineup of electronic pioneers. Headlining is A Guy Called Gerald, the UK acid house and jungle legend, alongside deep house selector Anna Wall and NIGHT manoeuvres, a hypnotic new collaboration between ABSOLUTE and Dot Major (of London Grammar). Their performances will weave through the museum’s halls, creating a dialogue between ancient artifacts and cutting-edge sound.

Free to attend but with limited capacity, the event encourages reserving timed-entry tickets to secure a spot. This partnership continues fabric’s tradition of reimagining unconventional spaces as dance floors while celebrating the British Museum’s role as a cultural crossroads. Expect an unforgettable night where history and rhythm collide—a testament to London’s enduring spirit of innovation.
