In a twist on the famous Joni Mitchell lyric, a disused car park has paved the way for a paradise. Peckham Levels Ltd took the space and filled it with new life for the locals and enough attractions to bring punters in from even further afield - saved from administration in 2024 by social enterprise The Trampery, this unique space retains everything that showcases the community at its best.
Set across six floors, there are working spaces for over 80 independent businesses - many of them artists and creators - and units for food and drink vendors throughout, plus more permanent eateries, bars and social spaces. Many of the spaces are available for hire, and are often used for filming - particularly The (famous) Stairs, of which each level has split colour coding, providing a trippy journey though yellow to orange to pink to blue and green.
Level 6 is the venue's massive Food Hall, full of street food vendors, bars and tables for socialising (there's even a karaoke space!) - it's South London's biggest and (probably) best spot for big group bookings and sports fixtures, with 5 big screens dotted around.
The Gig Space on Level 5 is the venue's multi-functional event space, available for hire with a stage and room for 450 standing, 250 seated and 170 in a boardroom setting. Throughout the year there's a fantastic range of events going on, from gigs and theatre performances to family events, talks and workshops.
