Billing itself as “Fitzrovia’s home of live sport”, we’d call this place The Scandi Man Cave; inside you’ll find neon lights flooding seven large screens displaying games from around the world, plus games to play yourselves including table tennis, interactive darts and a selection of retro arcade games - they even encourage beer pong!
The menu invites you to feast like a Viking; as well as a range of burgers which you can ‘bulk up’ with cheese, bacon and even a fried egg, there are the dedicated Scandi options of Köttbullar (Swedish meatballs and mash) and Pyyt I Panna (fried potato, bacon & pork sausage, topped with a fried egg - all for around £15! There’s also a great selection of smaller plates and ‘post-raid bites’ to keep your calm a ravenous appetite.
As for drinks, your standard menu is reasonably priced, and Happy Hour prices pints at a nostalgic £5, with classic cocktails available for £12. Noteworthy additions are the Nordic Twists (priced at £11.50): the Baulder’s Light Lemonade, the Scandi Berry Mule, the Fjord Fizz and Indunn’s Kiss. For added camaraderie, get your raiding party around Nordic Bar’s Norse Clan Sharers, £30 and served in their signature glass skulls.
Nordic Bar is also famous for its Stock Exchange Fridays, where the price of each drink rises and falls in real times depending on how popular it is!
