Ravenscourt Park, situated in Hammersmith, London, is a delightful 21-acre green space with local historical significance. The land dates back as early as the 14th century, when it belonged to the Manor of Paddenswick, home to the mistress of King Edward III. The name Ravenscourt comes from Thomas Corbett, who bought the estate in 1747 and named it after the raven in his coat of arms. Hammersmith’s first public library opened in Ravenscourt House in 1889 though it was destroyed by bombing during the Second World War, and you can still see the remains in the park. In addition, refreshments are available in the houses former stable block - now Ravenscourt Park's cafe, sometimes known as the Ravenscourt Park Tea House.

The park is popular with parents for its play areas, summer paddling pool and year-round sand play area, and there is also a small lake and walled garden.  Sports facilities include tennis courts, basketball courts, a football pitch, and a bowling green.
