Rack’s Bar & Kitchen in Clifton is one of Bristol’s most unique venues, set in the cellars of the city’s historic wine merchants, with two beautiful sun-trapping outdoor areas in the terrace space and a garden which wraps around the beautiful neighbouring Clifton Hotel. The decor is modern and chic but warm, and it’s also one of the best sports bars in the city, with fixtures all throughout the year and twelve screens to watch them on across the venue (including a 75-inch TV and projector).

They serve a great range of food for every meal of every day and they do it well,  with ingredients sourced from the surrounding West Country; it’s worth knowing about their deals, including three small plates from the main menu for £19 (try the oyster mushroom calamari and the beef shin croquette!), £7 Lunch and a deal for each day of the working week, including Penny Pizza Tuesdays and Steak Thursdays.

On Father’s Day and other special events they fire up their premium grill and get barbecuing for guests outside, and they have special menus for parties which include the barbecue and a street food menu, plus private dining options, ensuring you’d feel equally at home here for after-work drinks or a special event, from a birthday party to a wedding reception (with space for parties of up to 200 people!)
