The Festival of Light celebrates the 10th anniversary of its iconic, interactive and immersive lantern trail with a spectacular journey through time!
Turn back the clock and travel the world as you to journey through time at The Festival of Light this Christmas. Explore the era you want to discover as we showcase the evolution of the earth from the age of the dinosaurs to present day. This year’s spectacular lantern trail is a historical wonderland just waiting to be explored from 9 November 2024 to 5 January 2025.
Become a time traveller and capture family memories with kings and queens, a giant 12 metre clock, the spectacular colours of The Arabian Nights or with the impressive House light show in celebration of Longleat opening its doors 75 years ago.
Lanterns
Create magical memories as you step into the past with our interactive and immersive lantern trail. Walk through a great pyramid of Egypt, dodge a dinosaur’s roar, or marvel at the 10 metre high Roman Colosseum complete with chariots and gladiators.
Enchanted Christmas Tree Show
Britain's biggest singing Christmas tree is back! Join us for a spectacular display featuring lights, carols and even flurries of snow! Standing at over 15 metres tall. Illuminated with over 88,000 twinkling lights and fitted with four snow-making machines for a magical winter experience – this is a truly spectacular display of light you do not want to miss. Show Times: every 20 minutes from 4pm to 7:10pm
Longleat House Light Show: Celebrating 450 years of history
Immerse yourself in a sparkling gallop through the story of Longleat House, projected on the front of this iconic stately home. And enjoy a special magical appearance from Father Christmas before bringing together an illuminated montage from a decade of festivals showcasing Longleat as a giant vibrant colourful lantern.

A Festive Flight
With a brand-new story for 2024, don't miss this sensational seasonal show! Some feathery friends are taking up residence in the Longhouse and they can't wait to meet you.
Festive House Tours
Step back in time with a wonderfully festive guided tour of Longleat House. Beautifully dressed for Christmas, the House will feature traditional decorations and numerous Christmas trees, including a six-metre-tall showstopper in the Great Hall.
