Temple Church and Gardens is an English Heritage site, having got its name through its being built as a round church by the Knights Templar - a medieval military order developed to protect pilgrims to the Holy Land.
Even since the church has been replaced by a rectangular one and survived WWII bombings, you can still see the markings from the original building. Although there is no access to the inside of the church, the graveyard is now a public garden, perfect for a peaceful picnic.
