The iconic On The Beach music festival returns to the world-famous Brighton Beach off Madeira Drive A unique location within easy walking distance of Brighton city centre, public transport connections and hotels. Spread over two weekends in July, the seafront festival provides an experience different from others offering a variety of music genres. Whether you’re into electronic, indie, rock or alternative, there's guaranteed to be something for everyone.
Festival History
Having debuted in 2021 ‘On The Beach’ is now entering its fifth year on the south coast. With a programme of sold out shows that spans from Fatboy Slim, Chase & Status, Above & Beyond, Bicep, Underworld, and Carl Cox to Royal Blood, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, The Libertines and The Kooks. On The Beach is already having a huge impact on the UK’s festival circuit with over 10,000 people attending in 2024.
2025 marks the third year in a row that Radio X has partnered with ‘On The Beach.’ In 2023, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds and Royal Blood both played memorable headline shows on the iconic Brighton seafront,
Headliners for 2025: Include Bonobo: This Brighton-born DJ is set to perform his outlier series; Eric Prydz, Bloc Party who are set to showcase their all-time greatest hits. The legendary Carl Cox returns and the amazing Kaiser Chiefs will be closing the final weekend on Sunday 27th July, bringing pure joy to Brighton, playing their “Employment” album in full alongside all their greatest hits. Also joining Kaiser Chiefs will be The Cribbs, Razorlight, The Hoosiers, Master Peace and Westside Cowboy.
Along with the headliners, there will be a range of secondary acts. The festival has a history of combining both headline and aspiring artists, reflecting everything that Brighton and its people stand for.
Beyond the music, On The Beach will offer a variety of food and drink vendors to keep you refreshed, including vegan and vegetarian options, so needn’t worry.
