Louise Reay: ‘Hard Mode’ at the Brighton Fringe

Louise Reay: ‘Hard Mode’ at the Brighton Fringe

Award-winning comedian and journalist Louise Reay talks censorship and imagines living in an authoritarian regime.

28 May 2017 –  28 May 2017 | Visit website

Imagine how you’d act if you were always being watched? Imagine if you couldn't speak freely? Imagine if the Chinese government bought the BBC? Award-winning comedian and journalist Louise Reay presents 'Hard Mode': an immersive comedy show where the audience experiences life in an authoritarian regime. Yay!

Based on a dialogue with Ai Weiwei and featuring a team of masked police, this provocative show explores censorship and surveillance, where comedy meets immersive theatre – and the audience experiences life as an artist in an authoritarian regime. 'Hard Mode' is now on at the Brighton Fringe.

'Reay can legitimately claim to be unique' (Independent). 'Truly fantastic, utterly out there' (Al Murray). **** (Skinny).

'Hard Mode' will be on at the Komedia Studio as part of the Brighton Fringe on 28 May. See the Fringe event listings for more information.
